It's a nerd, nerd world

What has happened to today's world? Why are we all obsessed with the most random things? Granted, I have my share of obsessive things, but we won't list them. Here. It would take to long.  As many of you know, I switched rooms and am now in the basement. Well, I had to say goodbye to my lovely built in bookcase and now have two little shelves to put all my books on. I'm not sure how I will get them all to balance on there, so I looked into bookends.
..... It went down hill from there.

ALL I WANT IS SOME COOL, BASIC BOOKENDS!!! IS THAT SO HARD TO ASK FOR!?!?!

Apparently so.

Really? Really people? Yes, Superman and Batman are cool. Yes, I like superheroes. BUT DO I NEED THEM COMPRESSING MY LITERATURE BETWEEN THEM!?!? No, I don't think so.

And this was sort of cool. I mean, Han Solo is pretty awesome.  BUT STAR WARS?!! MESSING WITH MY LITERACY VOLUMES?!!?! NUH UH! YOU DO NOT GO THERE.
Star wars is just too much. I can't handle it. That just screams geek.
Run. Run far, far away.

Or, I have a better idea. Let's stand up for the poor, abused bookends. Bookends are supposed to be dignified, to speak words of knowledge and intelligence about its owners. Not... that... whatever that is.
I would use those bookends for my movie collection. Which I organize according to color. And no, that is not OCD.
So what do we have to say to those poor little bookends? "We're not gonna take it! We're not gonna take it! We're not gonna take it anymoooooore!!"

Stand up for the bookends! Fight! Win!
