Hark! And Herald sing

I  like listening to classical music. I listen to it whenever I write, (Vivaldi's winter is a great one for Sherlock Holmes), when I do Latin homework and for when I do math.
The only problem I have with it, is Itunes wouldn't recognize the Cd's I uploaded and gave me some weird album artwork and some songs that have no images at all.
I decided to look up some albums to see their artwork and found one that made me laugh SO hard.

The album is called "Rise of the Masters" if anyone's interested.
It sounds like a sci-fi movie.
Who in their right mind agrees to model for this?! Here, let me put on this wig and fold my arms and frown at the camera with my fluffy frock coat.
And what's with the background? Doomsday clouds or what?

I have to say my personal favorite of the group is Beethoven.
His hair is funny.

Nostalgia

My first love of reading came from Beverly Cleary's Ramona & Beezus books.  I've read her books over and over and never get tired of them. I remember the Dad character was always a favorite of mine and I have always wanted to color the longest picture in the world.
I admit, I was a little hesitant to watch the movie, I was afraid they would ruin the books, because well, Selena Gomez just isn't my thing.
But the movie was awesome! I loved it more than I thought it would and have now told my little sister that she better read those books or else.

I have just one problem with this movie:
Henry Huggins.

I yelled at the T.V. screen for quite awhile at his first appearance.
NO!! THAT CANNOT BE HIM!
HE CREEPS ME OUT!!
AUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!

But, there were some plus sides to this movie.

I fancy this guy looks a bit like a young doctor McCoy.
If they ever make a Star Trek where their ages are reversed, I pick him.

Act III

In which I procrastinate, no one is harmed, but everyone is seriously frightened.

I'm trying to think of a first chapter in an original novel which is due today.
..It's not working.

So my second defense is procrastination! (Guaranteed to not be full proof)
Did you know they have  a Russian Sherlock Holmes? Yes, it's in a different language, no I do not understand what they are saying and it scares me to death when they are chattering away and then Holmes bursts into hysterical laughter.
But it's Russian!

Instead of posting the video on here, (I didn't even watch all of it.)  I will give you my interpretation of what a Russian Sherlock Holmes would be like.

1. They would all speak in really bad accents. "Vatson, do ve havve a caaase todaay?"
2. Really, really bad accents.   "No, Hooolmes. But ve do havve a murrrderr."
...Maybe I'll quit while I'm ahead. Holmes sounds like the Godfather.

"Vatson! De case has beeen solved! Dis girl suffers from meeental problmes. Da, very bad. Ve vill leave her now."

*Sigh* Back to writing.

Great. Now all I hear is dis liiitle voice...

Provo!

Why do I like Provo?

Because:
They have a Brick Oven Pizza.
And that's it.

Well....  they do have this, but I've never really been a huge participant in the BYU V.S U war. So don't worry, I'm not here to wage war on either side.

Instead, I'm here to talk about the college.  Sort of.

Welcome to my college prep class! For starters, watch this wonderful video.

Ok are you motivated? Are you  pumped and excited to learn!?  I know I am.

And now watch this video which basically sums up Provo and why people go to The Brick Oven.

And you just thought it was for the food.   *wink*

[Side note: Try and guess my favorite part of the second video. It isn't hard if you know my personality]

Don't Panic

Such words are needed in these extreme cases.
We are all aware of my.... nerdy habits.  To further prove  my nerdiness, I have a game for you. I'm going to quote, or reference several different things in the following paragraph. Whoever can name the correct number of references and their origin, is the winner.
Ready, set, go!

I have a story to tell, from my electrical well, about my band, the Crypt Kicker Five. We were touring in the great cesspool and ran into Patrick Stewart and we were totally like, "Yo" and then, while sloshing through the fire swamp, we somehow stumbled across a clue that would lead us to the Holy Grail. At the end of the adventure, we were all stranded on the planet Hoth and Marcus  just had to shoot first, so then, we went to the E.R. where this doc loudly told us that he was a time traveler, not a detective and where the heck was Marty?  So we all jumped in the TARDIS and made it back just in time to prevent the Japanese from blowing up the Arc.

Yeesh, I'm exhausted! How 'bout you?
..Or are you just in shock that I could spout all that off?

Well, to help you in your deciphering of all this nerdy mayhem, I have a video for you. Yes, yes, they are my sponsors (not really) for this event and I am quite fond of them. As your doctor, *cough, cough* I highly recommend it.

Nerderol

And no one better leave me any comments about how I should be on this stuff.
Because you call me Doctor Watson, people!!

BWAHAHA!!
*snort*

A Girl Moment

I have a small obsession with all things British.
Most of the books I read are British. (I've never been a huge fan of American literature.)
The accents are soooo adorable.
And the guys are really cute.
Well, some of them. *cough* Skandar Keynes *Cough*

And my 'when I grow up' dream is to go to London to study abroad as an English lit major and then meet a super cute British boy who is my boyfriend.
...the other, even less realistic side of that dream also has to do something with the 221b house and a secret journal that proves Sherlock Holmes' existence.

*blink, blink*
Anyway.

Back to what I was talking about.

Actually, I better just quit while I'm ahead. I'll shut up, but first, here's somethings you should know:

1. I laughed really hard.
2. Yes, I did grin and giggle like mad when he started talking.
3. And, if you happen to watch any other videos, he sings.

An Incentive

Tell me you are not excited.

Tell me that these pictures do not fill you with glee.

The Chronicles of Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader comes out next Friday.
I am so excited!!
And you should be too.
But just in case you aren't, I have some more pictures that might motivate you to change your mind:

We learn about doing our chores while watching Narnia. And as an added bonus, we learn that all men are created equal. See, even King Peter has to do his laundry.

We learn that we should all participate with enthusiasm.

And that stranger danger is a must. Even while wearing buckets of chain mail.

Now if that isn't enough incentive to get you to go see the movie,

This might be.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go see if I can pre buy tickets.
