All Hallows Eve

                                                                    (Link)

                                             HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!!!!

That's really all I have to say....

Since I didn't go Trick or Treating, I can't give you my candy list.
I am very particular when it comes to Halloween candy. I weigh it, count it, sort it and then make a list of everything I have in alphabetically order. This makes it so my candy usually lasts up until about the middle of January.
My record for candy is somewhere in the 200's if  my memory serves me right.

But instead of Trick or Treating, I went to a party with Jell-O popcorn and a spider cheese ball. Having never tried a cheese ball, the rear end of a spider no less, it was an interesting experience.

And we played Mafia. Or at least, tried to play Mafia. Certain people who will not be mentioned, played murderess every time. ("USE YOUR POWERS FOR GOOD!")  And 80's girl and I had to talk about Castle and the mini shorts Detective Lassiter I saw at Costco.

I also learned that wigs are very itchy, heavy makeup does not like to come off easily and apparently striking a classic Batman pose is interpreted as... well... we won't say it here.
...thank you, mother of the person who we are not mentioning.

So it was an eventful Halloween to say the least.

And since I can hardly let Halloween go by without at least one tribute....

We'll have three.

Look at the little devil Tribbles!! Aw!!!

.... Wouldn't it be interesting to be from a different planet and to come to Earth on Halloween?
You  would find Earth a very weird place.

A Dedication

To all you writers out there.....
Don't give up.
Yes, writer's block can beat us down, we may go through manic phases, be tempted to print all our stories just to burn them, but still, we make it through.
PERSEVERANCE!!!
And then, and then my dear fellow writers!!! A break through! A sudden pinpoint of light that broadens your mind and expands all the creativity you thought you had lost! You go crazy! You spend every moment of your day writing furiously on anything that allows so much as a crayon. Ideas pour forth into a beautiful waterfall of imagination. You spend time creating cheesy analogies like the one I just said and day dream over random things like, who was the first person to be 'thrown under the bus' for that expression to get started?
But this dedication is for you my fellow writers, and to commemorate this, I have a little song:

You know our love was meant to be
The kind of love that lasts forever (until the next writer's block)
And I want you here with me (Stay Inspiration! Stay!)
From tonight until the end of time (Well.. curfew is 10:00)
You should know, everywhere I go
Always on my mind, in my heart in my soul

EVERYBODY NOW!

You're the meaning in my life!
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life!
You're the inspiration!

Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin':
No one needs  you more than I need you

So that's it dear writers! Go forth! Write!!
And remember.....
You are the inspiration.

Bipolar Bowler

Evening, Ladies and Gents! Are you a loser when it comes to bowling? Do you bowl better left handed? Have you ever bowled backwards into the audience?  Then say no more!  We here at the Bipolar Bowler league(r), are here to help you in all your bowling needs!

But first... a word from our sponsor:    ShamWooHoo!

Welcome back! Now, for an explanation of the Bipolar Bowler.
The name for the company was actually Holmes' idea. But I liked it so much, that I turned it into a company.  Holmes, can you see it now? Right under our Sigfried and Jensen ad?

"One call, that's all.
Also co-owners of the Bipolar Bowler league.  Be a loser no more!"

I think we are going to have a very successful business, don't you? Oh, and just for the record, I call being Sigfried.
Holmes and I went bowling with a few friends the other night and I lost. Horribly. But we needn't dwell on that.  Instead, I'm just going to lie to you and tell you that I am living proof that the Bipolar Bowler league does indeed work! Yay!

So what are you waiting for? Go and sign up for the Bipolar Bowler League today!

But first...a word from our sponsors: Children's BOP!

And remember, you too, can be a loser no more!

Help

I need help.

I found something.
Something marvelous, wonderful and absolutely nerdy. It was even filed under "Geekery" if you can believe that.

Etsy is a very dangerous place for those with weakness in the all things nerd department. I'll ease you in slowly, it will just get worse as we go on.

I'm a fan of Steampunk. Steampunk is a Victorian meets Sci-fi clothing style and I think some pieces of it are very beautiful.

Just get rid of the skull and I'm sold.  And besides... the pocket watch is a bit more in my price range.
                                                                 (Source)

Now.... for the heavy duty stuff. The really nerdy. The geeky, the source of my amusement!

Star trek!
... you saw that one coming didn't you?

Alright, this next segment is picture heavy, so just bear with me.

                                                      Spock out.

I want that necklace to go with my dog tags.

                                                                     (Source)
This is just cute. Though my Spock would have little green blushes.

                                                                           (Source)
*Not going to laugh*  Holmes, one word: "Lounge"

(Source) I want this one too. Epic.

                                                                                (Source)
I need a bag to put those on...

(Source) I want these ones even more. I want them as magnets to go on my magnet board that has Spock lights framing it. Ironic that when I posted this picture, Doctor McCoy's song started playing over Itunes... a sign, maybe?
...oh wait. I just noticed one of the buttons swore. Just... avert your eyes.

                                                                           (Source)
I wish I wasn't allergic to metal.  I want these. And they are the only thing on the site in my price range.

Ok! That's it! I won't bore you with my coveting/wish making any more. Just go.... and... do....and think about things... like how Christmas is *cough* not too far away.

Back To The Nerdy

"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."

(Huey Lewis and the News playing in the background)

BACK TO THE FUTURE!!

So. Because my movie junkie self has already confessed the more emotional side of the cinema, we are going to focus on the awesome.

There are rumors of revamping Back To The Future.

Which could be cool, but then I wouldn't have Michael J. Fox as Marty and I'd miss that. (Alot.)
And Doc! Who gets to play Doc!?! Because no one beats the original. I love that guy. So maybe bringing back the movie isn't a good idea....

So even if they don't make another BTTF movie, they are still celebrating the classic time spent with the delorean and 80's clothing styles.

The blueray version of the movies comes out soon, and they have started auctioning off old props from the film.

Tell me you wouldn't want to put the disappearing Marty picture in your family scrapbook! I would do it,
.... if I had four to six hundred dollars to spend.  But if I was to spend that much money on a geek thing, I would buy a steampunk costume to wear at a "Rhythmic ceremonial ritual."

But then again... I could wear this:

"What's with the life preserver?"
...ok, I know. Wrong movie.

But this one. I really want this one. I would frame it and put it in my doctor's office.
...if I was a doctor, that is.
Because if I didn't do it, Darth Vader would come down from the planet Vulcan and melt my brain.
..and then the Ark.

"Great Scott!"

How To Train....

Your emotional girly self not to cry over animated movies.

I watched How To Train Your Dragon over the weekend. Twice. The first time, I was with Holmes and we ate a whole container of popcorn and M&M's and then there was an accident involving her dog and guacamole. So I was ok that time.  No tears!
The second time, was yesterday. And for some reason, don't make fun of me- I teared up at all the 'beautiful parts'.  By the time we got to the end of the movie, where that thing happens, I'd lost it and was crying quietly and trying to hide my tears from the rest of the family and wipe them on a green velvet blanket. (Water and velvet do not go well.)

I tend to cry in animated movies more than any other genre.

I cried through Up. In the movie theater. With my Mom.

I bawled through Toy Story 3. Joining half the theater audience in tears as Buzz and Woody prepared to face the end together in the incinerator and then waved goodbye to Andy as he headed off to College.

I also tend to cry in the sequels of the Lilo & Stitch movies. But that's not always a given.  So now that my true movie watching self is feeling like Dumbledore in Harry Potter Puppet Pals, let's change the subject.

I laugh at all the random scenes in movies.
The ones that aren't supposed to be funny.

Like in Indiana Jones and The Raiders of The Lost Ark  when Indy threatens to 'blow up the ark' with this really deep manly voice. Or the Nazi car chase scene. But my favorite part, has to be when creepy bald headed Nazi man is on the screen. One look and I'll start laughing. Like when he burns his hand or gets out his nunchuck coat hanger thing.

So... do you get the point?  I have a very odd sense of humor.

To further prove the point, I have a youtube video for you.

Groovin with Ken

*Snicker* I'm going to see if I can quote this to anyone today.

Mourn with those who mourn....

And comfort those who stand in need of comfort.

It's UEA. But I went A-WOL on the UEA and could be considered MIA by the PTA.  But I had a meeting with the... GEEK(a)  (Grandparents Entertaining Euphoric Kids) and that was a bit more pressing.
...Tell me, does "Geek-a" not remind you of a song? Or am I the only one who hears Rick James calling?

"She's a super geek, super geek! She's super geeky, yow! Super geek, super geek..."

No?

Alright, fine.  Back to the important things.

I have more depressing news for you.   My Watson, my dear, precious Watson.....

Looks like a bird who has lost a few feathers.

Which is sort of like this guy....  *Snicker*   I think Cockatoo, what do you think?

Ok, ok! No more! I'll be nice!

...Just don't get me started on Holmes....

I'll let you use your imagination on this one.

Writer's block

You all remember this right? How awful, depressingly sad that was? Well... this is worse.

Welcome to writer's block.

One, that has to be the most attractive picture of Woody the cowboy I have ever seen, but it really has nothing to do with my post, I just wanted to share it with you.
Two.... things are gonna get ugly.
I'm depressed. Really, down in the dumps sad. I've been writing for days, I have two books currently in progress and a fanfic that's struggling to survive.  But I'm just worried. I don't want to spend the rest of my life writing someone else's characters and novels that never make it past page twenty.  How many closet writers out there actually make it into publishing? Not alot (Emilie, that grammar error was for you. It's killing me not to correct it.)
But I want to write; I like to write, I'm just worried it will never get anywhere. I want to write something impacting, something C.S. Lewis, Doyle, Austin, Stowe, world changing.  I don't want the lasting books of the century to be Twilight and Harry Potter.  (Sorry to all you twihard, mud throwing potter fans)   But it's hard; I'm not sure how to get going, or even where my ideas are going.  Where is my Sherlock, my Watson?Where is my Spock, my Kirk? My Darcy and Elizabeth? My Woody and Buzz?   (Ah, see that picture did come to have a point)
So there's my piece. I will now step off my soap box and go stare aimlessly out the window pondering with my hands behind my back and wondering what would happen if I got one of those little bubble pipe things to mess with while I brain storm.
........ I'm not sure I want to explain that. All I will say is that I have an odd obsession with putting things in my mouth when I think. Paper, hair and pencils. Also Popsicle sticks. So a pipe (minus the brain cell killing tobacco) seems.... logical.

To all you cat owners....

Holmes, Emilie, Percival, you all have cats. I however, do not.  So this video is for you.  Holmes, I have listened to your rants on your 'devil cat' and look! Now you can put them to music! Emilie, I still need to come see your cat; so I don't know if she's a crazy one or not. But all cats are psychotic, so it's pretty likely she will be.

I know I've bee posting a lot of posts with youtube videos, and there are still more to come, so try not to get too tired of it. Obnoxious videos and I are friends.

So... It's Friday

Because it's Friday, I thought I would give you a lovely time waster to start your weekend off with......
All my favorite commercials!! I'm the sort of person who laughs at the really corny commercials and then talks back to the ones that ask questions, or sarcastically sympathize with the ones with bladder control problems.

"You've mapped out every single bathroom in the city!? Good for you!"

So I am fond of commercials. But not Lowe's commercials. I loathe Lowe's commercials. Dumb people who have no clue what they are doing until they go into the store and confess their stupidity to some employee who pretends to be nice and gives them a mini infomercial on their newest bucket of paint before they all hug and say what good new friends they are. *Gag*

But we are talking about my favorite commercials. Not the ones that make me yell at my television. So pull up a chair and be prepared to spend the next few minutes of your life in the wonderful land of media marketing.

1. 7-Up

2.Travelocity Cabin Fever

3. Mayhem is coming

4. Nerd Progression   "They call it Electronic mail."

5. Old Spice This scares me, because my cousin will quote this for me and can imitate his voice quite well.

6.Orbitz This one has to be my favorite. It kills me every time. "I'm fine."

7. Google Super Bowl I feel really dumb at the moment because for the life of me I could not remember what the big foot ball game thing was. And then I remembered... "Super bowl."

And I think that's about it. I can't think of any more commercials I absolutely love so there you go. Enjoy these I hope they made you smile!
