Ironic. Irony. Hilarious.

So I was sitting at my desk with the window open and studiously studying my Latin words. (You like that? Studiously, studying.)
I had just translated this sentence: "Immodica ira creat insaniam."  (Excessive anger creates insanity) when a car drove by, it was some kid driving and talking on his cell phone. He was ticked at whoever it was on the other line and used the "F" word about three times in  a row.
...I think he needs that quote.

And I think I need a new sense of humor if the first thing I think is, "That was funny, let me go put that on my blog."
Here is my other favorite Latin sentence of the day:
"Nulla avaritia sine poena est."

Any guesses?
"No greed is without punishment."

Hey... I wonder how you say "Live long and prosper" in Latin? I am going to ask my teacher tomorrow.
And since I'm feeling suddenly very nerdy and quite Spockish I will give you my apology for the sporadic Latin lesson in intelligent vernacular.

Since you are probably all appalled at my academic glee, I will not be hortatory in asking you to join my nerdy faction though I might become a bit maudlin. But that is not my subjunctive at this current moment in space time.

...Yes, I did say "Space time". Why?

Because I....

Because when I woke up this morning, I had a cool line on my face that looked like a scar.
Because I had weird dreams last night. One involving Star trek. (Can't complain, just a little worried)
Because I am wearing a Batman shirt today.
Because Bryan Urie can do a back flip off a swing set and land on his feet all while wearing  a NASA hat.  (It's the hat that helps. Trust me. Scientists know what they're doing when it comes to these sort of things.)
Because I love 80's music.
Because I haven't heard this song forever.
Because I am a small youtube junkie when it comes to music videos.
Because these guys are wearing the hats, the glasses and the awesome suspenders.
Because my favorite parts of the video are:
0.52-53
1.17-19
1.49-53
3.10
Because this song just makes me happy.

Query

Do these images contradict one another?

I couldn't decide. Because in the first one, you're almost apologizing for being such a nerd, while in the other one, you're like, "I'm a geek and I love it."

This picture is just random.
'What happens when milk goes bad'
Tragic really.

I just really liked this picture. I think it's cute. I mean, c'mon! Who doesn't want a little mad hatter guy in your head?!

As you can tell, I've been sort of bored since school hasn't started for me yet, but since y'all are stuck doing boring desk work, I think I'll just hang around here and write some more stories.

Life is blissful

Doctor Horrible

Ok, so there is this guy on youtube and he calls himself Doctor Horrible.  He's an evil scientific genius (Or so he thinks) and is in love with this girl but he can't tell her how he feels.   Aw... ok, so anyway he is just super cute.  I didn't post the whole video, just the song, so tell me what you think!!  Personally, I am grooving the safety goggles.

Extraordinary Measures

I watched a movie last night.
A movie with Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford in it. (Double the awesome, I know)

I loved this movie. And  not just because Harrison Ford is a doctor and wears a lab coat. *Melt*
But it was just a really sweet movie and I kept 'awing' and laughing which was slightly awkward as I watched the movie with my parents and was awing at all these random times. *Hint, hint* "Random. Times."

After watching this, I'm not sure I could be a scientist. Math and not getting emotionally attached being the main reasons why. Mostly math.  I hate math.   But that's besides the point.
Harrison Ford handled this role really well and I just loved/hated him in it.  He was such a jerk at times! Ah! I just wanted to smack him upside the head and tell him to go apologize to poor little Brendan. But then at other times, I just loved him and wanted to give him a huge hug.  One thing I wanted to see in the movie didn't happen. I won't say it here to ruin it for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm thinking of maybe writing a fanfic for it.
Maybe.

Don't ask..... just please, don't ask.

I am a fan of cakewrecks.com. I love that website and granted, the humor is often pretty cheesy.... but who doesn't like that?
... Don't answer that.

SO.

They had these cakes on their yesterday and I thought it was hilarious.

                                                     *Snicker*  Anatomical humor.

Look!  Get rid of the tie dye and the fact that it's celebrating something and you have a Vulcan cake!
"You are...... tolerable." I wonder if they are fans of Jane Austen? "She is tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me."  *Snicker*
Would I be considered "Tolerable"? More like annoying. Incredibly annoying. They would probably get so frustrated with me, that I'd be banished to the ice planet.  Hoth from Star wars if they're feeling really mean. Delta Vega in their own galaxy if they're feeling sympathetic.

Could you imagine if the worlds from Star wars and Star trek collided? It would be hilarious.

"So, Spock,  have you met any of the people from the Star wars galaxy?"

"Yes,  Luke Skywalker. Incredibly friendly, but not the smartest human I have ever met."

...."Uh huh."

Kirk: "You know, Spock, I think we should get some of those cool light stick thingies the Jedi's have.  I mean, we have phasers, and Sulu has fencing and you have that weird... mind melding thing.... but still!  Light sabers! Those would be awesome!"

Chekov: "They have nuclear wessels?"

It would be so cool!  Personally, I am all for the lightsaber thing. Spock and a lightsaber would be pretty intense.
